Meatballs (Nazenin Berra)

 


Turkish Cuisine has many unique dishes and meatballs are one of them.
There are many kinds of meatballs but the main ingredients are the same.
-Ingredients-
  • 500 grams of minced meat
  • A cup of breadcrumbs
  • Salt 
  • An onion
  • Garlic
  • Cumin
  • Red and black pepper (optional)
  • Oil
  • An egg   
Firstly, put the minced meat into a large bowl and add the breadcrumbs, onion and garlic. Crack the eggs into the bowl and add some salt, cumin and the other spices. After you put them all, the second step is kneading. This is the most important part of the recipe because if you don't knead it well the meatballs may not be tasty. So you have to knead it at least 20 mins
The dough is ready to go to the pan so the next step is frying. Pour some oil into a pan and heat it, then put the meatballs and fry it about 5 mins. After 5 minutes the meatballs will be ready. You can serve it with ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise. Enjoy it!!
